In addition to winning the women’s junior 18 eights and the junior 14 quads, they also recorded second places in the junior 16 fours and junior 15 quads.

Abingdon School won the junior 18 coxed fours and were third in the junior 18 eights.

Two of Wallingford’s youngsters, Ertan Hazine and Simon Steele, won the intermediate coxless pairs.

City of Oxford’s regular youngsters, Cloudy Carnegie and Sian Morgan, won the junior 16 double sculls.

However, Holly Holden, racing in both the women’s intermediate and junior 18 sculls, finished fifth and sixth.

Meanwhile, Oxford Brookes took the limelight at the British Universities Championships at Nottingham.

They finished second in the championship eights to Cambridge University.
