Two Oxford schools have recorded their best ever A Level results.
St Gregory the Great School saw a 10 per cent rise in the percentage of passes at A to C, from 46 per cent to 56 per cent, and the number of A and B grades soared from 19 per cent of A and B grades taken to 29 per cent.
And at Oxford School, which is in talks to become Oxford’s second academy, the percentage of pupils gaining As and Bs rose by eight per cent to 38 per cent.
Associate headteacher Maurice Dixon said: “We are pleased to announce our best ever A Level results.
“We are very proud of our students and their teachers who have worked hard to achieve these results.”
At Henry Box School, triplets Hannah, Lizzie and Michael Britton picked up five As and four Bs between them.
And at Lord Williams’s School, Thame, three students, Hisham Sherif, Alice Carstairs, and Tim Kew, received five A Gades each, with a further two, Florence Batter-Turner and Sammy Daubney, achieving four top grades each.
