Summertown United were fast out of the block in the U11C league clash and went into the lead early on in the game when Finn Johnson Ward used his pace to great effect to sprint past the Kennington Athletic defence and score his first goal of the season. While Summertown's strength was pace, Kennington's was the power of its player's shots. Kyle Jordan equalized for Kennington with a super shot from outside the area which dipped just below the cross-bar. Kennington almost took a first half lead when a shot from James Smith hit the post and travelled along the goal line before being cleared by Summertown's Luke Davis.

In the second half, Summertown got its passing game together and continued to pressure the Kennington defence. Octavi Casals Farre opened up his scoring account for the season by getting on the end of a beuatifully timed pass from Palden Ball. Summertown then came in waves stringing five or six passes together at a time. George Caddick bagged his third of the season and Summertown's of the day when he pounced on a ball that was cominig out on the right from a clearance.
