THIS is a worrying time for pensioners living in sheltered accommodation, with fears that they are about to lose their routine visits from wardens.
Oxfordshire County Council is reviewing what it pays and is believed to be looking to save money. It is unable to say what level of service there will be, but we hope the county factors into its calculations that the regular visit by a warden is a valuable, if intangible, part of the scheme to pensioners.
