Police are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery in Oxford last night, where thieves targeted a filling station.
At about 9.30pm, three men entered the petrol station in Oxpens Road and one of the men jumped over the counter, threatening a member of staff with what police said had been described as a plastic gun.
The member of staff was made to hand over about £50 in cash from the till.
Det Sgt Steve Raffield said: “As you might imagine, the member of staff was left quite shaken by what happened but wasn’t hurt.
“We would urge anyone with information, or anyone who may have witnessed this robbery, to contact us as soon as possible.
“We are currently reviewing the CCTV from the store and we will be doing everything in our power to make sure these people are caught as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information should contact Det Sgt Raffield via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505, or alternatively contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
