Police tonight appealed for information after an attempted robbery on a teenage girl in Oxford.
At about 7.55am yesterday, a 16-year-old girl got off a bus in St Aldates and was walking towards another bus stop when she felt someone pull her handbag.
She turned around and saw a man running off towards the courts.
The man was white, with dark curly hair, medium build and aged in his late twenties.
Det Sgt Matt Jarman said: “There would have been plenty of people in St Aldates at that time of the morning and I appeal to anyone who might have seen this man, to get in touch.”
Anyone with information which could help the police should contact Det Sgt Jarman at Oxford police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don’t want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
