A repatriation ceremony for the bodies of three fallen soldiers is expected to be delayed by about half an hour.
The bodies of Cpl Simon Hornby, 29, of 2nd Battalion, the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, L Cpl David Kirkness, 24, and Rifleman James Brown, 18, both of 3rd Battalion The Rifles, will arrive at RAF Lyneham from Afghanistan today.
Their cortege was due to arrive at John Radcliffe Hospital, Headington, at 2.30pm.
The Royal British Legion has advised well-wishers that due to the cold weather and treacherous road conditions the cortege is now likely to arrive at 3pm.
