A vehicle fire led to delays on the M40 in north Oxfordshire this afternoon.
Queueing traffic built up due to the earlier fire at junction ten at the Cherwell Valley Services.
All lanes have been re-opened but delays remain.
Very slow traffic was also reported on the northbound carriageway between M40 junction nine and junction ten.
Delays were also reported on the A43 southbound between Brackley and junction ten on the M40.
Motorists also faced hold-ups on the A34 northbound between the Abingdon North junction and junction nine of the M40.
Drivers on the A34 southbound also suffered delays between the Chilton Interchange and M4 junction 13 at Chieveley.
One lane was closed and long delays were caused due to barrier repairs.
Motorists also faced delays on the northbound carriageway between A4185 (Chilton Interchange) and A415 Marcham Road (Marcham Interchange).
