Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted after leaving a pub in Bicester.

The 22-year-old man left the Hobgoblin pub in Sheep Street at about 10pm on Sunday when he was assaulted by two men. The man sustained serious injuries to his head which required hospital treatment.

Det Con Mike West said: “There were several people outside the pub who witnessed the assault and helped the victim afterwards and I would appeal for them to come forward and speak with us about the incident.

“This was a nasty attack and we want to ensure that whoever was responsible is caught as soon as possible.”
