A young man has died as a result of injuries he sustained in a collision near Cane End.

At about 4pm last Friday, a red Peugeot 306 and a red Peugeot 405 collided on the A4074 Cane End, at the junction of Dedman’s Lane.

The collision was head-on and caused serious injuries to both drivers. There were no other people in either vehicle.

The driver of the 306, 20-year-old Qasam Nisar, of Mather Road, Headington, died at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, yesterday. Anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw the vehicles prior to it, is asked to contact PC James Mahony via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
