Children from two primary schools helped to plant a dozen trees and 500 daffodil bulbs in a play area.

Pupils of Glory Farm and Southwold schools in Bicester travelled across town to the King's Meadow play area and public open space beside Shakespeare Drive.
Earlier the area had been designed and equipped through the efforts of a group of young people under the leadership of Kevin Peake, in a scheme called Project 2000.
Altogether 10 lime trees and two oaks were planted along with the daffodils.
Carol Steward, chairman of Bicester Town Council's environment committee, said: "It was pleasant to see the pupils helping out. The trees and daffodils will enhance the area."
Bicester Town Council paid for the trees and bulbs and children were assisted in their work by contractors Continental Landscapes and town council gardening staff.
