OFA Sam Waters Cup: Anaclet Odhiambo hit a hat-trick as Morrells of Oxford League Division 2 side The Nelson knocked holders Star Royal out of the competition in a shock 4-1 victory.

And they did it the hard way, fighting back superbly from a freak 20th-minute opener by the Premier Division outfit to triumph.

Odihambo levelled for Nelson with a chip over the keeper after latching on to a through ball from Michaes Herbert.

And early in the second half, it got even better for Nelson with captain Liam O'Callaghan netting after a fine move to put them 2-1 up.

Odihambo then bagged No 3 from the spot for his second of the game after he was brought down in the area.

Nelson settled the tie with ten minutes to go, when Odhiambo completed his treble to take his tally to five in his last two games, and complete the upset of the round.

Star Wanderers overcame visitors Berinsfield United 3-1.

Despite bossing the first half, it wasn't until the 40th minute that Wanderers pressed home their advantage with James Reeve netting in a goalmouth scramble.

A minute after the re-start, Reeve ran down the line and crossed for Jamie Hodges to double their advantage.

Hodge then scored No 3 with his second of the game from Reeve's cross.

Stephen Bateman replied for Berinsfield.
