Two brothers in arms are joining forces once again on a very different mission.

Nick and Mark Hillier

Falklands War veterans Nick and Mark Hillier, who served together in the Parachute Regiment, have teamed up to open a new restaurant at the Banbury Cross pub, in the town's Butcher's Row.

They are both from Banbury but left home when they joined the Army.

Mark, 38, came back four years ago to take over the Banbury Cross and has transformed it into a friendly family local.

Meanwhile, 43-year-old Nick had forged a successful career in pub management for a national chain in London but was looking to spend more time with his family when he got the call from Mark.

Together they have transformed some old barns and a yard at the back of the pub into a beamed restaurant called The Stables.

Mark said: "This is a real traditional pub and now we can offer real traditional food to go with the atmosphere.

"It's great to have my brother here -- now we're a winning team again."
