A motorist was outraged at cyclists going the wrong way down a one-way street (Oxford Mail, November 20).

It is ironic that the motorist poses far more of a threat to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians by going the right way down the street than cyclists going the wrong way.

The road system is designed for cars and to make life easy for them.

Cars take all the space and by and large, drivers act rudely and threaten the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.

Cars are wasteful, large, filthy and noisy. But above all, they are killers, unfortunately not just of motorists.

People have to realise that the person bringing the large, fuming, speeding object (the car) into town is always in the wrong.
