Oxford United manager Ian Atkins is confident his players can produce another of their great 2002 cup performances to beat derby rivals Swindon Town at a Kassam Stadium that wil be a cauldron of emotion on Sunday.

Ian Atkins"We've done it against Bristol City, and Charlton, and Villa, so I'm sure we can do it against Swindon, " he said.

Bookies have found the sell-out FA Cup second-round tie too close to call, listing both clubs 6-4 to win, with the draw at 2-1.

But Atkins thinks they're wrong.

"If we perform like we can, I think we'll win," he said. "Swindon will be the favourites because they're in a higher division and they've got some good players. But so have we.

"Cup-ties are all about whether it's your day. If you endeavour to give everything, which we will, you still sometimes need the breaks.

"I've been in cup-ties before where we've totally dominated, and got beaten in the 90th minute, and been in others where we didn't deserve anything and have been lucky, and scraped through.

"Cup-ties are one-offs. If it's your day, it's your day."
