Wantage MP Robert Jackson officially opened the doors to Longworth's extended village hall.
More than £64,000 has been spent on the building, thanks to a grant from Oxfordshire Community Fund.
The hall is used for a range of activities and the extension features disabled toilets.
The hall has also been fitted with new windows, central heating and a modern kitchen.
Chairman of the village hall management committee John Phillips said they had surveyed villagers to find out what they wanted.
He said: "It's quite an important focus for the community. What we have tried to do is raise funds so we can support local groups, keep the charges down and make it a bit of fun."
