Traffic checks carried out in the area by Oxfordshire County Council have revealed that most motorists using local roads obey the speed limits.
Of 792 vehicles recorded within the 40mph zone at Cumnor Hill, 739 were travelling below the limit and only one exceeded 44mph.
The average speed was 31 mph.
