A former Oxfordshire magistrate serving a five-year sentence for making bombs was due to appear at the Appeal Court in London today.
The hearing was to consider a challenge from the Attorney General, who is seeking an increase in Jonathan Wilkes' sentence.
Wilkes, 40, of Freeland, made a number of remote-controlled pipe bombs to target Howard Davies, the boyfriend of his former lover, Collette Cooper.
He was convicted in January at Oxford Crown Court.
Wilkes used to sit as a magistrate in Bicester.
