A man accused of having indecent photos of children, claimed a virus was used to plant the incriminating images on his computer.
On the second day of his trial at Oxford Crown Court yesterday, Timothy Newman, of Oakley Wood, Benson, near Wallingford, denied six charges of making the images, found on the hard drive of his computer during a police raid.
The images were found in the folder of a 'Trojan' virus, which could have been planted remotely on his machine by a computer hacker.
The 37-year-old lorry driver said he had enemies who were jealous of him, including his wife's boyfriend, and denied downloading the images from the Internet. But Neil Moore, prosecuting, said the images included ones of him and an 11-year-old girl, taken from a video Newman had made, for which he has already been charged and sentenced.
Newman claimed the tape could have been accessed by his enemies.
The case continues.
