Two men are being questioned after a woman was threatened with a weapon at a cashpoint in Oxford.
The woman was accosted outside the NatWest Bank in London Road, Headington, just after 9pm on Monday.
She screamed and the robbers made off without taking anything. The victim was unhurt.
Police later stopped a car and arrested two men.
A 25-year-old and a 32-year-old are currently being questioned by Oxford police on suspicion of attempted robbery.
Police have appealed for a man who saw the incident to come forward. The man, described as having a beard, stopped and spoke to the victim immediately afterwards.
