A man was remanded in custody when he appeared before Oxford Crown Court yesterday, charged with the attempted murder of his partner.
James Childs, 39, of Champion Way, Littlemore, Oxford, is alleged to have tried to kill Stephanie Dix at their home on April 15.
The defendant will next appear before the court on April 29. No application for bail was made.
A man has appeared in court charged with the burglary and unlawful imprisonment of Joyce McLoughlin at Cumnor Hill, on July 31 last year.
Stephen Swanson, 40, of Norris Green, Liverpool, was yesterday remanded in custody until June 5.
