A supermarket has been encouraging more parents to use real nappies.
On Saturday, a stall showing the different types of real nappies available was set up at Tesco, Pingle Drive, Bicester, to show the benefits of cotton nappies and highlight the damage to the environment caused by disposable nappies.
The campaign, part of Real Nappy Week 2002, was organised by Lollipop, a distributor and supplier of real nappies, in conjunction with Cherwell District Council. It offered parents a £30 subsidy to swap to reusable nappies.
Hazel Neal, of Lollipop, said she had had more than 20 inquiries.
