A superb spell of bowling by Wallingford's left-arm seamer Dave Buxton (8-69) was not enough to secure victory against Long Marston.
Nigel Norman (46), John Rawden (43) and John Roberts (32) gave Marston an excellent start, but then Buxton got to work, sending them tumbling from 99-2 to 169 all out.
A half-century from Rob Sessions gave Wallingford hope, but, needing seven off the final over with the last pair in, they fell six runs short on 163.
