Abingdon launched its bid to win Britain in Bloom.
A floral parade of floats made its way through the streets and the square was taken up by a farmers' market and other stalls and exhibitions. Abingdon in Bloom is supported by the Chamber of Commerce, traders and firms.

Last year, Abingdon came second to Banbury in the large town section.
