Oxford, who had to wait until the second week of July last season before finally registering their first win, got off to a flying start this term with a four-wicket victory at Burnham.
Tight bowling by Oxford saw last year's Thames Valley League champions shot out for 128 off 45.4 overs.
Seamer Philip Evans (4-33) did the early damage and, with good support from his father Rupert (3-31) and brother Ian (2-31) with their off-spinners, Burnham were always struggling.
Opener Robbie Eason then hit a patient 50 not out on his Home Counties debut as Oxford reached their target off 55.1 overs.
Patrick Jobson produced some typically stylish shots in a knock of 42 before a late flurry of wickets left Oxford with a less convincing winning margin than it should have been.
Left-arm quickie Waqar Ahmed was the beneficiary for Burnham, taking 5-35.
**Burnham 7pts, Oxford 25
