A last-gasp own goal by the unfortunate Jason Thomas saw Abingdon sink to defeat at Egham in last night's Ryman League Division 3 clash.
The Surrey side started fast and went ahead in the 12th minute. However, Abingdon were as good as their hosts for the remainder of the first half.
They spurned a number of good chances at the start of the second half, but they eventually drew level through Jon Gardner with eight minutes to go.
However, their hopes of securing a draw were dashed two minutes from time when an unlucky deflection off Thomas gave the hosts all three points.
