Ardley United go into their key Division 1 West promotion game at home to Bishop's Cleeve tomorrow uncertain about the future of their talented defender Jason Bedford.
Jason Bedford wants to quit Ardley
Bedford, apparently unhappy with the atmosphere in the dressing room, has told the club that he does not want to play for them again.
But manager Paul Spittle is planning to meet with the player in an attempt to change his mind.
Ardley still have hopes of securing the second promotion spot, in the hope that the league will give the thumbs up to the club's plans for the required up grade of facilities.
Cleeve are currently third, but with games in hand, could overtake Ardley for the runners-up prize.
On current form, Cleeve are favourites as Ardley have hit a poor run of form at the wrong time of the season.
Ardleymust win their last three games, including beating Cleeve and also hope that Cleeve slip up again.
With Steve Ayris struggling with injury, Spittle may well stick with the same side that drew 1-1 with Ross Town in midweek.
Saturday's line-up:
Ardley Utd (v Bishop's Cleeve, home): Tassell, Durrant, Wright, Goldthorpe, Manley, Moss, Meredith, Warr, Spittle, Tucker, Hodgson, Butt, Jenkins, Ayris
