It may only be for the David Charles Oxfordshire Plate, but Abingdon are really up for their final against Bicester at Gosford All Blacks' Stratfield Brake ground on Sunday (2.30).
Beaten by Grove in the inaugural final two years ago, Abingdon, who play in Berks, Bucks and Oxon Division 2, are keen to win the competition for sides knocked out in the early rounds of the county cup.
Bicester, who play two divisions higher in Southern Counties North, will start strong favourites.
However, they have picked a less than full strength side, to give those who supported the club throughout the season, a chance of honours.
The final will be preceded by an under 15 match between the two clubs at 1pm.
