Farmoor reservoir season ticket holders Alan Stock and David Duffy broke
their own record for rapid fish-catching with an eight-fish catch in 90 minutes.
The bag of rainbow trout, weighing up to 3lb 4oz, included six over 2lb.
They were all taken from a boat on the Farmoor II reservoir, using fast-sinking lines and a new booby tied by Alan, 62, of Forest Hill, near Oxford, nicknamed the Sunset Stripper.
The Farmoor reservoir complex, including the Farmoor I reservoir, is
controlled by the Farmoor Fly Fishing Club. It is now open for boat and bank
fishing, with strict disinfectant procedures in place at the entrance as a
precaution against foot-and-mouth disease.
