A bid is being made to set up a new Neighbourhood Watch scheme.
Wallingford police are calling a meeting in Cholsey on May 8. A letter about it has gone out to all residents.
Sector Commander Inspector Chris Parker will talk about crime in the village.
With him will be area beat officer WPc Karen Ferris and Alison Smith, the regional administrator for Neighbour- hood Watch in south Oxford- shire.
The aim of the scheme is to cut the opportunities for crime and make things more difficult for a would-be thief, vandal or criminal.
It aims to build a better community spirit with everyone working together.
The meeting takes place in Cholsey's pavilion, on the playing field, on May 8 at 7.30pm.
