A year-long survey has started to map an area's wild animals.
The Wallingford Environment Group is trying to find out just where the squirrels, hedgehogs, mice, bats and other animals live.
Survey co-ordinator Emma Broad said the National Mammal Society has stated that 14 of the country's 39 native land mammals are declining.
She said: "It will help build a better picture of the needs of these creatures."
The survey has just started and will run to March next year.
Survey forms and details are available from Ms Broad on 01491 839493.
