All the traditions of May Day will be observed on May 6 in Cholsey.
A May Queen, Morris dancing, May procession and Maypole dancing will all be featured in the event organised by the parish church and the village's playschool, school and day centre. And with the event will be the 16th annual fun run - four miles around the village. The May Queen will present the prizes to the fastest man, woman, boy and girl. The Queen will be crowned on The Forty and the rest of the events will be based on the recreation ground.
