An Oxfordshire support group has issued a leaflet which offers help and advice to farmers suffering during the foot and mouth crisis.
The Oxfordshire Rural Support Group, part of the Rural Stress Information Network, launched the third edition of its leaflet at the Diocesan Church House, North Hinksey, near Oxford. Extra information has been included in the latest edition, giving telephone numbers and website addresses to help farmers.
New contacts include organisations such as the Samaritans, the Citizens Advice Bureau and the Rural Stress Information Network.
There are also details of the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Food, and Oxfordshire County Council websites.
The Rev Glyn Evans, chairman of the Oxfordshire Rural Support Network, said the leaflet tells farmers where to go to for financial and emotional support.
He said: "There are anxious and uncertain about the future.
"That's the crucial thing - the uncertainty as to what is going to happen to them next. How are they going to get out of this? How are they going to be able to rebuild their businesses?"
The leaflet is widely circulated among GPs' surgeries, vets' practices, churches, schools and among National Farmers Union members.
