Drivers are being warned the M40 will be closed in both directions while essential roadworks are carried out.
Both carriageways between junctions nine at Bicester and ten at Banbury will close between 11pm and 3am on Saturday, April 28. Traffic will be diverted using the A34 and the B430.
The work will allow electricity cables over the motorway to be moved.
The post supporting them will be moved to make way for a new slip road connecting the A43 from Towcester.
