Legendary guitarist Midge Ure returns to The Mill, Banbury, on Thursday.

Mr Ure was one of the brains behind the Band Aid charity and co-wrote Do They Know It's Christmas with Bob Geldof. Record sales of the song in the 1980s raised £8m for starving people in Africa.

His career began in the 1970s with teenybop sensation Slik.

He then teamed up with ex-Sex Pistol Glen Matlock in the Rich Kids for a year until he joined Ultravox as their front man and lead guitarist. The band enjoyed a string of chart successes in Britain and abroad, includingVienna.

Tonight's performance will feature tracks from his new album, Move Me, and some of his old favourites.
