Oxfordshire players made their mark at the BDO Easter Inter-County Knockout tournament at Southport.
Claire Bywaters won the ladies' singles title, beating England internationals Mandy Solomons, Apylee Jones and Tricia Wright. In the semi-final, she saw off Jones with a superb 11, 12 and 13-darts 3-0 win for a 41.75 aver- age.
Bywaters also finished runner-up in the ladies pairs with Iris Doyle, losing to Solomons and Sue Edwards in the final.
On the way, they beat Oxon teammates Karen Williams and Denise Byles.
The county men's A team of Pete Hall, Nigel Russell, Joe Palmer, Andy Thomas and Kit Young beat Middlesex, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire before losing in the quarter-finals to Lancashire .
Oxon's ladies reached the last eight with victories over Cheshire, Glamorgan and Surrey before also falling foul of Lancashire.
Bywaters, Byles and Williams were joined in the team by Iris Doyle and Irene Wooding.
