Parts of the county had unexpected Snow showers yesterday as temperatures dipped to -2C overnight.
Snow was reported in Banbury, Bicester and Abingdon - and the Met Office said the cold snap would continue into the weekend.
A spokesman said: "We had reports of a mixture of snow and soft hail.
"It's not unusual for it to snow in April, although it doesn't happen every day.
"But it has snowed in parts of England in June before."
He said snow showers were possible again today, but the weather would get milder into Saturday - although warmer weather would bring with it the chance of rain.
