In A dress rehearsal for the Autotype UTV League Devenney Cup final at the end of the month, East Hendred thrashed Chilton 7-1 in Division 1 of the Autotype UTV League.

Hendred were 4-0 up inside the first 12 minutes following two from Neil Thimbleby, one from Ian Carnell and an own goal.

Jason Fisher made it 5-0 in the 25th minute and Chris Slevin grabbed a sixth just before the break.

Lee Newport pulled one back as Chilton gave a better account of themselves in the second half, but Robbie Barron restored Hendred's six-goal lead before the end.

They are still propping up the division in last place, but Brightwell grabbed their first league win, beating Brewery Tap 2-0 thanks to strikes from Robbie Spencer and Steve Cuddon.

In Division 2, King Alfred's Head moved into title contention with a midweek win at Brewery Tap Res and a 6-1 victory over Rutherford Lab.

Their goals against Rutherford came from James Buchanan (2) John Buchanan, Mark Aitkin, Chris Roche and a Chris Medlock own goal.

With leaders Burford being held 0-0 at JPs, Alfred's Head are three points behind with two games in hand.

At the other end of the table, Standlake Garage beat Crispin Harwell 5-3 in a vital relegation clash. Stuart Tofte (2) and Andy Hayward scored for Crispin.

In Division 3A, Medisense beat Supersonic 5-2 to give themselves an outside chance of promotion. Their marksmen were Steve Bayliss (2), Faisal Bamahrez, Danny Parry and Phil Timmins.

Andy Smith scored a minute from time to give George & Dragon Upton a 2-1 win at AFC Crowmarsh and secure promotion from Division 3B. Crowmarsh had taken an early lead through Craig Fisher, but John Mackie squared it in the 50th minute.

Wallingford Exiles dealt a blow to Prince of Wales Didcot's outside chances of promotion, beating them 3-1 with strikes from Mark Littleford, Matt Peates and Jon Colquhoun. Pete Atkins replied.
