A club that allows business people to share experiences over breakfast, has been hailed as a success.
The Wantage and District Business Breakfast Club was launched in February as a forum for traders, entrepreneurs and other professional people to discuss commerce over a plate of bacon and eggs.
More than 30 people have already joined the club, which holds its early morning sessions in The Lamb public house, in Mill Street, Wantage. Meetings include talks and presentations by local businesses and guest speakers.
The club is the brainchild of retired bankers Reg Waite and Colin Wilkins. Mr Wilkins, the treasurer of Wantage Chamber of Commerce, said: "The business breakfast club is a success. Membership now stands at 31, and an excellent turnout is expected at The Lamb for our next 'full English'.
The club is non profit-making, with members contributing £7.50 per meeting. Call 01235 762707 for details.
