The annual Abingdon Arts Festival has been praised by the town's mayor.
The festival came to an end at the Easter weekend after five weeks of drama, music, films, poetry and arts. It attracted thousands of people from all over Oxfordshire and plans are already underway for next year's festival.
The mayor, Lesley Legge, said: "I attended many events and was impressed by the high standards which were achieved.
"The festival helped give Abingdon a real buzz.
"Abingdon is becoming an important centre for music and drama because it not only gave a platform for local talent but attracted some national and international performers.
"The festival is a great tribute to the dedication and hard work of all those involved."
