A cracking free-kick from Mark Jones set Thame United up for three important Ryman Division 1 points at relegation battlers Leatherhead on Saturday.
Thame dominated the game after Jones's ninth minute opener from 25 yards.
Jefferson Louis hit the post with a header, while John Mitchell should have scored when clean through, but was denied by Stewart Vaughan.
Rob Smith was also foiled by the woodwork before Thame added a second in the 50th minute.
Skipper Martin Brown carried the ball 35 yards out of defence before releasing Louis to shoot low to Vaughan's left.
Substitute Mick Swaysland also hit the bar.
Thame Utd: Moores, Smith (Potter 85), Lee, Brown, A Williams, Fontaine, Merritt, Jones (Avery 80), Louis, Mitchel (Swaysland 75), G Williams.
