Former Carterton Town player Garth Walsh hit a superb hat-trick as Ardley United's title hopes suffered another blow with defeat at Malmesbury Vics.
Walsh struck for the first time in the third minute from the penalty spot after Stuart Clark was adjudged to have pushed a Vics player in the back.
Ardley equalised early in the second half, also with a penalty. This time, Steve Ayris was pushed in the box and Steve Tucker sent the keeper the wrong way from the spot.
But Malmesbury caught Ardley on the break and Walsh smashed a terrific volley past Paul Tassell.
Walsh completed his hat-trick when he beat Tassell to the ball and ran it into an empty net.
