Work has started to improve a town centre car park.
The development of Henley station car parking area should be completed by mid-June, well in time for it to be used during the Regatta.
It is being funded by South Oxfordshire District Council and done by Henley firm, Associated Asphalt.
Council leader Jan Morgan said: "It is designed to encourage people to walk into the centre in an effort to ease traffic congestion around the town."
When completed there will be a lit 160-place car park with spaces for ten coaches.
The existing main car park will not be affected by the work.
