STORE manager Steve Frame has been presented with a new £10,000 car - but says he's too tall to drive it.

The manager of Woolworth's, in Bury Street, Abingdon, has been given the top of the range Ford Ka after being picked in a national draw.

But, at 6ft 4in tall, Mr Frame is convinced it won't be comfortable enough for him to drive - so his partner Patricia Green will instead reap the benefits.

He said: "I will be keeping my Volvo 440 and she will have the prize. I'm going to be extremely popular for life!"

The woman he really needs to thank for the prize is Marilyn Hanson, who is in charge of the store's book section.

It was that section which was chosen in a national Woolworth's competition as the best of its kind in the country - and all winning stores were then entered into the prize draw.

Mr Frame, who lives with Ms Green in Deer Park Road, Witney, promised that Mrs Hanson would receive "quite a substantial prize".
