KINGSTON Bagpuize's flying start to the season continued as they saw off Bledlow Ridge with ease.

They managed no wins and a solitary draw in Division 1 last season, but have quickly returned to winning ways in the tier below.

Martin Shepherd (76), Mohmed Seedat (54) and Rob Keates (48) all batted well as Kingston clinched victory by seven wickets.

Earlier Bledlow posted a respectable 206-7, thanks to Martin Middleton (41) and David Wells (36).

Cumnor are now the only other team in the division to win all the games they have played, their latest success coming at the expense of previously unbeaten Great & Little Tew.

Tew were grateful to Justin Parker's 52 as they could manage only 170 all out against the pace of Ayaz Khan (3-23) and the spin of Matthew Neilson (3-81).

The visitors then had no luck with the ball as Kiwi Brendan Donkers (45no) and Dan Gaunt (44) secured maximum points in a seven-wicket win.

An unbroken ninth-wicket partnership between left-arm bowlers Danny Hartley and Paul White dug Abingdon Vale out of a hole at home to Leighton Buzzard Town.

Town had posted 198-9 from their 50 overs, with Phil Whatmore (78) and Rob Ferguson (70) leading the way.

Hartley had taken 3-51 with the ball, and when he was joined by White with the score on 163-8, Vale's chances looked bleak.

But the pair mustered the required runs to take their side up to third.

Earlier Mike Cook had hit 58 for Vale.

South African Riaan Krynauw smashed 111 in Tiddington's 267-9, which also featured useful contributions from Nick Edmondson (33), John Mackie (30) and Steve James (30no).

Vale never looked like getting close, despite the best efforts of Joe Jenkins (44) and were soon dismissed in the 31st over for 144.

Witney Mills were well-placed on 135-1 at home to Henley 2nd, but a collapse and some fine Henley batting left them on the receiving end of a ten-wicket defeat.

Mike Carratu (72) and Pete Claridge (64) had put Mills in contention, before Andy White took 4-38 to reduce them 191 all out.

Bradley Hogg (81no) and Dave Rhodes (80no) then scored at almost five runs an over to take Henley to victory.
