Masks from the original Doctor Who series will be sold at an antiques and vintage fashion fair in Oxford tomorrow.
Masks from monsters featured in the cult BBC show were rescued from the bin and are now being sold at the fair at Oxford Brookes University campus at Headington.
Fair organiser Sylvia Vetta said: "In the late 60s, Peter Sheldon was working at the costume department at the BBC during filming of the original Doctor Who series. The masks were only used once and then put in the skip. He rescued a few from the bin men. A dealer bought one from him and will be bringing it to the event.
"The monster head is unlikely to be a fashion accessory but maybe the Eurovision Song contest winners Lordi may like to buy it?"
Costumes from the Flash Gordon film will also be on sale.
Royal Academy trained mezzo soprano Rebecca Martin will sing between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
The fair will be on at Oxford Brookes University's Headington campus from 9.30am-4pm. Admission is £1 and free after midday.
