Blenheim Palace is the home of one of the best three-star horse trials in Europe. Each year more than 60,000 visitors flock to enjoy top-class riding from some of the world’s best event riders and their horses.

This international event has now been at Blenheim for 20 years and is widely recognised as one of the competitors’ and public’s favourite events as it offers so much to see and do.

Although described as a three-day event, the trials actually run over four days — with two days of dressage and two days of cross country and show jumping action. The event also features competitions for riding club and Pony Club teams and local riders, displays and demonstrations, attractions for the children and fabulous shopping opportunities for all.

This year the organisers have unveiled a new-look logo and website which incorporates the branding of their new title sponsor, Fidelity International “It is very exciting for the whole team at Blenheim to have a new title sponsor,” said event director Mandy Hervieu.

“Putting on any event takes an enormous amount of work and expense, so this will help, and we are exceptionally grateful to Fidelity for choosing Blenheim as its partner.”

Rob Fisher, head of UK Personal Investments at Fidelity International, added: “We actively look at ways in which we can meet our clients away from the financial arena.

“Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials presented the perfect opportunity for us to try something new and attracted us as we have many shared values.

“We feel that Fidelity has much in common with Eventing supporters and as a company we can understand their lifestyle and priorities,” Mr Fisher said.

The investment from Fidelity and Blenheim’s other loyal sponsors have allowed the organisers to put on an even bigger and better event with improved facilities. Entries for the CCI*** and CIC*** international competitions are huge and include household favourites such as Pippa Funnell, William Fox Pitt, Mark Todd and Zara Phillips — so the competitions are sure to be hotly contested.

The Concours Complet International (CCI) and the Concours International Combiné (CIC) are ratings for the equestrian sport of eventing.
