Police are appealing for information after a series of burglaries in the Kidlington area over the past four days.

Overnight between Saturday and Sunday, burglars forced their way into the Kidlington Recreational Trust Social Club in Yarnton Lane and stole cash from the till.

The next burglary occurred between 5pm on Monday and 8am on Tuesday, when the Benchmark shop in The Parade off Oxford Road was broken into and burglars stole a Dell computer.

The same evening burglars also targeted Sunray Blinds and The Hair Gallery, also in The Parade, and stole a small amount of cash from Sunray Blinds. They were unable to gain access to the hair salon.

The last burglary in the series happened at about 4.30am yesterday when burglars again targeted the Kidlington Recreational Trust Social Club in Yarnton Lane, but nothing was stolen.

PC Keith Devonish, from Bicester CID, said: “I would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed any of these break-ins or who was in the area over the past four day who saw anything suspicious.

“While not a lot has been taken in any of the incidents, the burglars have caused a lot of damage trying to get into the various premises.

“I would urge anyone with information about these burglaries to come forward and speak to us as soon as possible. The neighbourhood team is aware of what is going on and extra patrols will be put in place to reassure the local community.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Devonish via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively you can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
