Drayton Wasps battled to a hard fought 1-0 win away at Marston Saints, to get their first victory of the season. In a game which went from end to end, Drayton Wasps showed that little more determination, winning the majority of 50:50 balls, and so deserved the 3 points.
After a goalless first half, when both goal-keepers performed well, Drayton took the lead early in the second half. A well worked move ended with Jack Evans played through on goal, and he shot early to beat the keeper.
Saints continued to battle through to the end of the game, but failed to create any clear cut chances, with Sami Zaman in the Drayton Wasps goal being equal to anything he faced
