Handy Williams top of the pops for Colts

Kidlington surrendered their unbeaten record against a battling Oxford City Colts side. The key moment came when George Williams scored the only goal of the second game.

Kidlington had the better of the first game territorially, with Marcus Tranter prominent in midfield. Their early dominance was rewarded when Ben Owen forced home a Ben Stewart cross from close range. Colts hit back however, with a long range free kick from Charlie Liversedge. Tranter went close to restoring Kidlington's lead with a volley before Stewart had a shot saved well by the impressive Colts keeper. Kidlington regained the lead after a scramble in the box when a Colts defender put through his own goal under pressure from Owen. Kidlington created many more chances but failed to convert them and were undone by a last minute equaliser from Ben McNally somewhat against the run of play, leaving the final score in the first game 2-2.

The second game was a tight affair. Ethan Couling was involved in most of Kidlington's best moves, but Colts frequently threatened too and the home side were indebted to left back Archie Littlewood on several occasions. Williams scored the vital goal early in the second half. Kidlington tried hard to equalise, with Luca Sykes prominent but Colts' keeper Max King was alert to every danger and the only time he was beaten was when Judahne Medley hit the post late on, leaving the final score 1-0 to Colts in the second game and 3-2 overall.
